Bayview Full Home Renovation
This project was a full home renovation in Bayview on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. It was designed and built in collaboration with Anne Webster Designs, fin designs and Additional Concepts.
The kitchen features monument coloured shaker style cabinets which are integrated with the original circa 1980 face-brick kitchen. The kitchen bench tops are 40mm Skim Epoca Marble and feature an under mount sink with drainer etched into the bench top.
Part of the beauty of this project is not just in what you see but in what you don’t see – the dishwasher is integrated into the cabinets and PITT cooktop stove burners are integrated directly into the stone bench top. The kitchen floor is 1500×750 Dwell large format grey matte tile and features under tile floor heating.
The kitchen and custom joinery were supplied and installed by Finn Designs. Floor tile supplied by ATS Tiles & Bathrooms. Under tile floor heating throughout supplied by Livella Floor Heating.
The dining area has a custom window seat / daybed in engineered anodised oak board supplied by Woodcut Flooring. The large fixed pane windows capture the view.
The living area has all new walls, pelmets for curtains, new ceilings, wall lining, new skirting boards and has a split system air conditioner integrated into bulkheads.
The entrance door was a 1200mm wide custom cedar panel entry door with side lighting. The entrance has a cloak room with separate toilet.
The bar / cigar room has an anodised European oak floor supplied by WoodCut Flooring. Bar joinery is in Black Caviar Polyurethane. The bar display shelving has integrated LED strip lights on top and bottom, recessed into the shelves. And the shelves have solid brass nosing.
The fireplace was renovated around the existing natural stone. Walls were painted in Monument colour and the bar countertop is spray painted with Axolotl brass paint. The split system air conditioner is integrated into the bulkhead.
The laundry flows from the kitchen and also has grey matte large format tile, shaker style cabinets in white and balustrade capping in European Oak. It has plenty of storage and backyard access to the clothesline. The mudroom extends from the laundry and is separated by a cavity sliding door.
The staircase leads down to the spa and fitness area.
The lower ground floor was converted from a storage area to a spa and fitness centre with french doors leading to the backyard. This involved some rock excavation in parts to fit the jacuzzi and sauna. The main entrance to the sauna comes off the fitness area and jacuzzi and the secondary door from the sauna enters the shower room.
The large format tiles are continued on the lower ground floor extending into the gym, sauna and shower room.
